Carrie Lucille Griffin
September 24, 1924 - May 11, 2015
C. Lucille Griffin Photospacer.gif Carrie Lucille Griffin, resident of Oceanside since 1958, passed into the presence of the Lord on May 11, 2015 at the age of 90.

Born to rancher/farmers Harve W. and Elizabeth Amy Musselman on September 1, 1924, in Eads, Colorado, Lucille worked her way out of the Dust Bowl, then served her country first as a WOW (woman ordinance worker) and later as an enlisted woman Marine during World War II. She married Master Sergeant Theodore A. Griffin (deceased). Lucille had two sons by whom she is survived: Roger D. and Keith L. Griffin.

After laboring in the federal civil service at Camp Pendleton for many years, she retired to enjoy singing and ministering to sundry people in her church. She was a member of LightHouse Christian Church for many years serving in the choir and teaching children.

She was the grandmother of eight, and the great-grandmother of nine (with two more on the way!). She served her family and her country with excellence, faithfulness, and consistency. She was also a member of Eastern Star, and-out of her 'widow's mite' -- a supporter of charities too numerous to name.
