NARFE Oceanside Chapter 706

Meetings are free, open to all, and will held on the 3rd Thursday at 1:30PM - 3:30PM at the Oceanside Senior Center located at 455 Country Club Lane.

Blue dot October 20, 2016 meeting
Our October speaker will be Doug Applegate. He is the Democratic candidate for the 49th Congressional District. He is running against Congressman Darrell Issa. While NARFE is non-partisan, we need to hear from candidates on how they support issuses of interest to the federal community.

It has been a while since we've had a chance to hear the position of a current candidate for office. I'm sure he will bring us his thoughts on issues close to the federal community (like WEP and GPO) and other issues that differentiate him from Congressman Issa. Please join us at this meeting and come early for a good seat. He will probably take questions from the audience. NOTE: Even though we verified his scheduled appearance, he failed to appear. We then checked his on-line schedule and we were not on it.
